put the social back in “social”
Oct 19
i want to talk about social media, social networking and coworking…
i wonder how many of you are taking full advantage of technology to build your business or expand your knowledge. i wonder how many of you are taking full advantage of social networks to maximize your business trips.
if you’re a business owner, you should be using social media to not only interact with those in your area but with people all over the world. if you’re heading to a town for business, make the most of it! don’t just meet
with your client then head home. do a little research before you arrive – check out groups and find people on twitter who reside in the same town. introduce yourself and let them know you’re coming to town.
i really dig creative bohemian types, so i tap into local networks that attract these type of people. and i can tell you, i’ve met some really cool people and made great business connections.
another thing is – don’t waste your time at a local coffee shop. okay, maybe it’s not a waste of time, but why not find a coworking group to get work down when visiting a new town?
