kristie wells motivates!

so i’m off this morning to meet with the fabulous kristie wells. not much can get me out of bed and dressed early on a saturday morning – but kristie did.
why?
well, kristie is one of those motivating, multi-tasking power houses. so when i received an email from kristie letting me and Jack Campisi (of Stamford) know that she’d be in town this weekend and wanted to meet, i was more than excited. although i was scheduled to be in chicago, i agreed and changed my travel plans for the chance to meet her in the flesh and pick her brain.
so how does kristie know that i exist and why does she want to meet me?
a few months ago, i decided to start a Social Media Club in New Haven, CT. since then, we’ve communicated through email, by phone and on twitter. even though the SMC website is full of information, and kristie along with other chapter members are there to answer questions – kristie goes above the call of duty to make a connection with those who support SMC and its mission.
you gotta respect her for that. she’s proof that you can do what you want to do, as long as you put your mind to it.
so here i am, on a train at 7:32 am to meet kristie wells “Community Advocate. Connector. Communicator. Social Media Maven. Spender of Heuer’s money. Social Media Strategist for Ribbit. “
